Why Practice Mindfulness?

When we are faced with a challenging situation in life, our biggest strength lies in how well we handle our self emotionally. Our emotional energy can either support us or it can take us on a downward journey of low confidence/self-esteem, feeling trapped, or alone.

In case of low emotional support, we might suffer. As a result of this suffering, our old life patterns- that over the years have been imprinted in every cell of our body, can come out to play their role. Therefore, we might feel that we are unable to move forward or take steps towards a change in life. It feels as if we are living our life on autopilot.

To break this pattern, it is important to pause and take note of what is happening in our life in the present moment. That is the essence of Mindfulness. The aim is not to fix something in us, rather, to be aware of our existence, to respond well to life by choosing our own response based on our awareness.

Feeling From The Inside Out

In the presence of the virtual world, we are not aware of sensations of our body. But all the emotions that we feel are in our body. We are conditioned to hold on to pleasant sensations and keeping away from the unpleasant ones. This means we are continuously reacting to and pushing away the sensations. When we are not connected to our bodies, we do not feel a sense of belonging to the natural world and unable to take care of not only our self but our community and planet on the whole.

With mindfulness we remain present with all the sensations and feel the body from the inside out. This supports us in breaking the pattern of reactivity in our daily life.

Training your Mind

Mindfulness practice teaches us to train our mind to pause and be in the present moment. Mindfulness does not mean having no thoughts, rather it teaches us to train our mind to be with what is happening in and around us with ease and compassion. This training supports us in not letting our internal chatter guide us and to lead our life using internal wisdom.

Our Mindfulness Consultant and CEO Quanta Mind- Ms. Sana Naseem is a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher (in-training) from Greater Good Science Center-University of Berkley USA under teachings of world renowned meditation teachers Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach and mentorship of Augusta Hopkins-the only Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area – maybe the world – ordained by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. All our corporate programs are based on the teachings to help individuals and teams develop the skills they need to thrive in today’s complex and fast-paced working environments, leading to improved organizational performance.

We work with individuals and organizations to unlock their full potential. We offer a range of classes, tailored for each client to meet the needs and goals of their organization. Hourly, half-day, and multiple week sessions are available during regular work hours, and custom retreats.
